On a happier topic, since that kid whose teacher ripped his cheek off was sad. Well, since i have run out of things to write about, i am just going on random teachers websites.

And im currently reading stories about teachers. Annnd i thought id share some quotes that i thought were funny.

College Girl Visitor to Our Class: (to kindergarten-age boy) What’s your name?
Kindergarten-Age Boy: You know my name.
College Girl: I’ve never met you before so how could I know your name?
Kindergarten-Age Boy: You know my name.
College Girl: No I don’t.
Kindergarten-Age Boy: You did last night!
College Girl: …

:)

Alsooo

Teacher: (to a student not paying attention) Your lights are on, but nobody is home.
Student: I know, my mother works during the day.

:)

kids are silly.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

i just read a scary article about a teacher.
it happened in china but i found it on Tulsas news site.

a teacher of a ten year old kid got so mad at him for not doing his homework, that she picked him up by his cheeks and twisted his cheeks with her hands SO much that his cheek actually FELL off.

she then just picked his cheek off the floor and handed it to him and told him to go home.
he had to get 52 stitches.

the family called the police immediatly when they saw this.
and i know it was acceptable in china for teachers to hit students at one point buut i dont know if it still is but even if it is that is so messed up.

Mr Ayers, i really do not know what to write about anymore.

This is a very hard assignment.
SO, i suppose i will write more about my book.

even though, i dont even know what to write about it anymore.

well actually, i just found out that Philip Done, the author of the book im reading, won the Schwab Foundation Distinguished Teacher Award.

im not sure what that really is, but it sounds like something good.

and he taught elementary school kids for more than twenty years. thats a really long time.

and he has another book. 32 third graders and one class bunny.

so im guessing he likes writing about third graders since the book im reading is called close encounters of the third grade kind. and theres a picture of it up there!

its not really an intereesting book. but i guess if i was older i would find his humor funnier. so actually i think it is an interesting book for the people that its aimed at. and its aimed at teachers of course. so people 20s, 30s etc?

which i clearly dont fit in this catergory. but oh well. it has some cute stories.

My book is called Close Encounters of the Third Grade Kind. It was written by a guy who has been a teacher for over twenty years, Mr. Done. It starts with buying of school supplies and posting class lists. And he talks about the personalities of some of the kids he has come in contact with. And he bascially just tells stories about some of the memories he wont forget. And all the chapters are divided up like the school months. And it has tips for teachers.
